On may 9th 2021, the Bible Society of Madagascar has launched a Scripture portion named BALISAMA containing biblical answers to the question : « If God loves us, why do we suffer ? ». 250.000 Scripture portions are published to be distributed for free all over Madagascar in order to support fellow christians in facing the pandemic and its impacts in social, emotional and spiritual life. As we are facing this pandemic crisis, many people lost their jobs – are separated from family members or friends – many are dealing with financial issues, … Compared to the current changing context, this  BALISAMA Scripture portion helps people, both christian believers or non christians, to grasp thoroughly that God’s love is unchangeable and His mercy still remains.This initiative is included in the trauma healing project, that the Bible Society of Madagascar has recently contracted with UBS and the American Bible Society. The Bible Society of Madagascar has also started an online counseling to help people to get healed from their trauma and to renew their hope in Jesus’ salvation.
