10 New Certified Literacy Instructors!

From September 2nd to 6th, 2019, in partnership with Heal Madagascar, the Malagasy Bible Society (MBS) trained 10 participants from three (3) different villages to become literacy instructors. During this week, they also learned to prepare their own teaching materials. Two volunteers from the MBS  – Patricia and Zeze – lead out in the training. After their training, these participants will teach at least 15 mothers from their village. The MBS team will be there to support the trained participants during their first practice of teaching.  Supported by the UNESCO, Heal Madagascar is a project that encourages sorting and treatment of waste for the purpose of economic development. The project coordinator realized that literacy is still a challenge for our communities and the success of the project depends on them. This partnership is to empower mothers to be agents of change in their communities.
